Thanks Biscuit but if you're honest that's only an interpretation of what has come out this morning. The ODPM has NOT said we need a new stadium, rather saying he's going to look at it again. This doesn't mean we will get a new ground as the club have got to try and convince them in the Public Inquiry II that Falmer is the best site. What makes you so confident that the club can do that when two Inspectors ( albeit in different roles) have already said no?

My champagne stays very much in the fridge.

No chappers it is NOT fact! Prescott can easily turn round and say "ok no to Falmer but build at <insert site here>", we turn riound and go "we dont have the money as that costs 3x as much as Falmer and we hav'nt got all the financial backing we need"....leaving us without a permanent home and drifting into oblivion!

Aggred its an impression. I am confident that this inquiry will prove that there are no other sites in falmer. We have one goal now, a goal which (despite the inspector Hoyles bollox) we are able to fulfill.

The other sites are simply not viable, the club will be investing several hundreds of thousands into proving the NIMBYS wrong. I am confident that we are capable of winning the next inquiry and getting a ground.

Maybe its just me being a cynic or mis-reading it, but where in the text released today does it say that if there is no other viable site Falmer WILL be given the green light, or that if there is, we won't have to go through all this again with another extremely costly application.
Whats to say he won't then agree with the two inspectors saying something like, "Sorry BHA but I tried to help you find another site 'cos Falmer has been rejected by two independent inspectors. You're on our own now"
Like I say I hope I'm soooooooooo wrong and he won't pull the rug from under our feet, but like others I won't be breathing easily until DK's got the approval letter in his hand and the bulldozers are digging up a ropey little field!!

What if the new inquiry recommends we stay where we are? It's the sort of useless decision I can imagine them deciding.

We can't even get planning permission for 2,000 more seats at Withdean. I think that alone is evidence enough to rule it out.
