Wow, that theme music takes me back. Seeing the north stand packed out reminds me how dark them days were and how fans were treated.

As much as we loved the goldstone, it was run down and dated.

How things have changed for the better

Was in North Stand that day. What an atmosphere. Had completely forgotten the sour grapes from the Norwich manager afterwards.

No I saw it as well.

I remember being peed off about giving over half of the North Stand to Norwich but what a great atmosphere it was.

Great memories of the Goldstone, really enjoyed seeing that. Now only the surrounding houses remain but at least frame where the ground once was. It may have been run down, but there was always a good atmosphere, never more so than when it was full.

I was in the North Stand. What a day. And, yes the Goldstone may have been a dump but it was our dump and I loved it. It wasn't in terminal decline in 1983.

I used to love the evening matches. Turning the corner by the church, smoky haze. Packed North Stand in distance.........magic
