Also incredibly biased, so why put him on as co-commentator when Liverpool play. That penalty was nailed on last night ( and courageously given by Phil Dowd ), but Beglin thought Long went down easily etc. Reminded me of the pen we got at Cardiff in the play off final when Carey kicked Iwelumo on the back of the heel. Brilliant winning goal too and Reading actually deserved to win the first game anyway.

On the whole, I agree with you. However I do rate Peter Drury. Met him quite a few times and as well as being a top bloke, I like his commentary too.

ITV is just a general MESS. Quite apart from that complete debacle with ITV Digital which nearly ended up bankrupting several Football League clubs, their football coverage has always been a joke.

Their HD channel is tucked away hidden from view on the Skybox (you have to change the frequency, do a search and store it, as its rather cryptically called "10510" for some reason). The picture on normal ITV is ABYSMAL (unless you er-tune to ITV West Country, which broadcasts at a higher bitrate than everywhere else, for some reason). And they STILL employ Fred f***ing Dineage.
