Does anyone know how to get iTunes to play a whole album - one track after another? If I want to listen to Bach, I want to listen to Bach and not to Bob Marley or Youssou N'Dour. I've tried turning Shuffle on and off but that makes no difference (in fact, I'm not sure what Shuffle does). I know I could create a playlist and just play that but it sounds like a bit of a faff.

Anyone know an easier way

To the top right between the search bar and the info window there's four boxes. Click theone with six squares and it will organise your library as albums. Hover your cursor over the album and click play ('play' appears on the album, I don't mean click the play button in the top left).

As long as the tracks on the album are ordered correctly, and shuffle is off it should just play the album.

(double click the album and it brings up just the album tracks and you can alter the order clicking on the column headers and press the regular play button)

You for real?

Eh?

I asked a genuine question. I'm used to Real Player which is really easy to use but Mrs Gwylan has an iPod and I'm trying to work out how to play a whole album. iTunes help doesn't, er, help, but there must be a way.

I've tried that and it just plays one track and stops - at least it doesn't jump to something new any more. Have I got something switched off that shouldn't be?

You for real?

I am a real Apple convert, my Macbook is over 3 1/2 years old and has been superb. However, I have big trouble with I Tunes. Before you say 'old git technophobe', I am most certainly not. I consider myself very competent in most things technological, but I-Tunes bugs me frequently.
Thanks to this thread I have also sorted a serious problem I had with I Tunes. Only issue now is...How do I turn shuffle off and on at my I Phone when in I Tunes mode? It drives me to distraction! Is it done at the Macbook pre Sync or at the I-Phone Post sync?

Thanks for starting the link Gwylan.

OK, easiest way on an iPhone is to use the Artists tab when you open the music application. Once you select an artist, it should bring up the albums you have by that artist. You then select the album you want to play, touch the first track and it should play the whole album straight through. If I want it to Shuffle, I touch the Shuffle option top right.

That help?
