I can barely contain my indifference. Still, he can't do any worse than Mark Hughes.

no suprises there. The best man for the job out of the 3 yesterday. Suprised they took him on, but if they wanted a Welshman there wasn't really another option except for Saunders.

Hopefully he'll shake it up and sort us out before next September ;)

Backward step for the welsh, a bit like WBA and Robson. Management has moved on from the style that these guys are used to.

Oh dear. We've now got no hope of qualifying.

Have we ever had any real hope of qualifying?

With Hughes in charge we had no hope whatsoever as his tactics (for want of a better word) were pitifully negative. At least Toshack will try to win a game now and again. Not sure he'll succeed too often though!

Is there anything coming through your U21's of any quality? Looking at the age of a number of key players, there is a danger of going backwards, again, a bit like what happened last time the WFA appointed Toshak.

There are a couple of quality players emerging. For a start, we have a 17 year-old lad called Joe Ledley who has broken into our first team and made a big impact in the last month. Left-sided midfielder who has already bagged two goals. He looks a terrific prospect and he hasn't even made the Welsh Under-21's yet..

However, as always the Welsh junior sides lack strength in depth. We have some very decent players, but we also have plenty of very oridnary ones too.

Hughes recently had a golden chance to get a Welsh team to the finals of a major tournament, but the negative tosser blew it. I suspect we'll have to wait another ten years before a similar opportunity presents itself.

the two lads who played up front for the under 21's in the last game were from United and Arsenal. But then we got thrashed 8-1 by Italy back earlier in the year didn't we?
