It's time to unite

OK-I've done my share of criticising since last May, but now I think it really is time to unite.

Whatever our reasons, we are all Brighton fans. And we know we always will be. When we made that choice we made it for for richer or for poorer, for better or for worse.

This is not where any of us wanted to be. We don't want to be at Withdean, we don't want to be third from bottom of the third division, we may not want some of the players we've got, we may want this manager, or this chairman, or these assistants, or these stewards. But they are all we've got.

We have been through much, much worse. We have stayed loyal, and we have stayed true. We have 14 games left to avoid playing at Lincoln, and Rochdale, and Shrewsbury and all those others grounds where we sang "we'll never play here again."

And for better or for worse, we're in this together. I think the loan signings this week show that the Chairman and the board and everyone else at the club want to avoid relegation just as much as we do. Dick may not be the best chairman in the world, Russell may not be the greatest manager, and our players may be not be the best in the world. But they are OUR players, OUR chairman, and OUR manager.

Let's show them what it means to be a Brighton fan. It means we're in this to the end, and we will never walk away. And let's make sure we let EVERYONE at this club know that we are with them, and we know that they are with us. And if we go down, we go down fighting and we go down together. And as a club we'll be back. Because we always are.

I quite fancy a trip to Shrewsbury.Looking at where they stand in their division, just out side the play offs and only 5 points off an automatic promotion place,we might be going up there any way.Charles Darwin was born and educated in Shrewsbury.A fine town, offering great Hotes,B&Bs,self catering cottages, camping and camp sites in the town and surrounding areas.
Piblic School girl and I stayed a charming B&B in a quaint village 15 miles out side the town but I can't remember the name of it or where it was but do remember that they had a dog,if that helps.
