Just read this on Sky sports. Yesterday they said he's the favourite and today they say he's not in the running. I don't know what to believe anymore. A player told last week he thinks it might be Cotteril who's name isn't even getting mentioned anymore.

Wycombe Wanderers have revealed that former Millwall boss Mark McGhee is not in the running for the vacant manager's post at Adams Park.
The Scot, who was linked on Sunday with being in the driver's seat for the managerial vacancy at Second Division club Brighton & Hove Albion, was surprisingly sacked two weeks ago by The Lions.

McGhee has also been mentioned with the Chairboys job following the sacking of Lawrie Sanchez last month.

However, Wycombe chairman Ivor Beeks says the club are not interested in the former Reading, Leicester City and Wolves chief, claiming they already have a shortlist of potential candidates.

"We haven't had any contact with Mark McGhee," Beeks told the club's official website.

"It has been a hard task getting the shortlist down to seven or eight candidates."

Several other names have been mentioned regarding the Wycombe post, with current caretaker manager John Gorman, assistant boss Terry Gibson, former Wolves assistant John Ward and Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough all seemingly in the frame.

Former Arsenal and England skipper Tony Adams and former Sunderland assistant Steve Cotterill have also been linked with the Chairboys job.
