C'mon folks, get a grip. The new shirt. Why the mass debate? (resists cheap but obvious pun about mass debaters). The new shirt is a different shade of blue because those good marketing people at the club are trying to shame you into parting with your beloved Centenary shirt by making it SO LAST SEASON (intentional use of irony alert, ignores actual number of years since centenary). The club want you, the consumer, to succumb to peer pressure by being openly mocked in the Brewery Tap for wearing the DARK blue shirt rather than the LIGHT blue shirt. Just say no - unless you need a new shirt, like.

Says the man who only ever wears SKINT Tshirts rather than replica shirts :p

Personally I like it and I'm glad I have a birthday coming up.

I still remember the horror that was the all blue kit. Although, in terms of old school the FA cup final shirt is a beauty. But, what the hell it has grown on me this evening....where is my cheque book :lolol:

Is anyone else concerned that the Skint logo looks like a iron on transfer that'll come off after a few washes? (see my post in the poll) Or is this fear just mine?

I like it by the way

It is time to move on-like it or not, this shirt is our home shirt for the next 2 years and they're not going to change it now are they? Personally, I'd have preferred our 'proper blue', but it isn't so I'll have to buy the light blue version. I don't mind-the club needs the cash and if going to a lighter blue for a couple of seasons increases revenue streams that help or enable one or two new players to join us and help keep us up-Bring on the light blue shirts.

The shirts are Blue and White and are nowhere near Coventry's blue. In fact, that shade of blue looks unlike any other light blue football shirt I can remember.

The shirts are striped.

The club badge is still on there-different place but it's on there and it isn't a home version of the Bat shirt.

They're going to be available before the season starts too which is fantastic-something we all moan about when it doesn't happen.

As has been said already "It's a shirt, it's a different shade of blue". In 2 years time we'll have the old blue back (probably) and the club can sell another shit load of shirts. If they had only made minor changes there'd be all kinds of wailing and gnashing of teeth that "We've been ripped off again-all they've done is change the neckline, different font for Skint and the seagulls in the blue stripe as opposed to the white stripe in previous shirts".

It's one hell of a f**king hard job being chairman of the Albion ain't it? Always something not being done properly-except we're still here so a change of blue is bugger all in the grand scheme of things Albion.

I've not paid close attention to the board in recent weeks, mainly because this time of year you get a load of small minded old horses manure on subjects such as 'our shirt looks like Argentina strip'.

Well I've seen the shirt and it looks like a classic to me. Indeed, any similarity or affinity to the Argentina squad would be no bad thing. The kit looks fresh, up to date and most of all looks less perocial. Yes less like a provincial club! What's more it's a sign of a club that can embrace change. So to those who think differently I say...think differently. If you want the Albion kit to look like it had the blessing of the townsfolk of Dibley then that's exactly how we will be perceived.

Well.... I'm not sure. It certainly reminded me of Coventry's stripes (but then they should be wearing all sky blue for us traditionalists). I'll know better when I see it for real (about half past December if recent kit introductions are anything to go by).
But, I have to say I prefer our 'proper' blue stripes.... as they shall become affectionately known.
I'll see if I can hammer down the price on a last season's shirt at the shop and wear something that is SOOOO passe !

Mind you, I was distraught when they did away with the old Sheffield Wednesday / Arsenal style Blue and White kit from the sixties..... at first...... but I grew to know and love the 'proper' blue stripes.
Oh, and the 'new' style shield as the badge

You won't get anything from last season at the shop let alone a last season's shirt because they sold everything prior to Cardiff.

There are retro shirts available from way back but that is about it.

Just driven past the shop and seen the strip in the window. It looks rather cool with the stripes not reaching the bottom of the shirt.

Most new shirts seem to have the plain bit at the bottom now, the palace one does too.
