It was on my mind because, curiously, it was being played in a restaurant when my wife and I went out to dinner on Saturday night. She really hates the song and I occasionally play it to annoy her, telling her that she just doesn't get it. The music was so idiosyncratic that I had to ask the waitress about it - Strawberry Switchblade, Everything But The Girl (Each and Every One), The Cure, Matt Bianco, Blancmange, The Special AKA. She told me it was her daughter-in-law's compilation - she's an 80s fan. I told her that that was all right - so am I.
