The draw they have is pretty easy to the semis.

Australia then the Swiss or Ukraine.

They are playing and the bookies are reeling from the German performance. I reckon Germany will come in from 7/1 to 4/1 today. England are 13/2 but 20/1 would be more realistic.

european team, good strikers, good midfield, very strong defense and a very experienced coach. a team you cant beat easily, it needs something special....

Before the tournament, I agreed with that. I really fancied Italy. But, having watched their games, I don't think they quite have what it takes. They don't seem, to me, like a team who will score goals when they really really have to. The one part of your post I disagree with is the strikers. To be honest, as much as the rest of their team is impressive, I haven't been overly ispired by Toni, Gilardino, or Iaquinta.

i know they havent played great yet. but they are successful, and that makes a winning team. i remember brazil in the 1990 world cup, everyone said they will make it, but then a little magic from maradonna sent them home. argentina went to the final and lost to us...
or italy in 82, they played bad first, but were winning, and won the cup then.

but playing wise, argentina should win it, also spain looked quality

italy are crap.

germany always get help from the ref, and the easy path, but having said that, they played the swedes way better than we did.
Which means that, looking at it realistically, we are crap.


Spain will do a lot better than normal.
