Italy look superb in the build up -shame they can't put the ball in the net more often

If I right here.

Sweden only need a draw with Denmark,

Denmark can get away with a draw must must go for a win,

Italy must win and must go for at least 3 goal win.

Their doomed:lolol:

Must say I quite fancy Sweden to win it....

And now they'll go and lose against Denmark and crash out...

Mainly fluke, I think.

A great game, intelligently played by both teams who each got it tactically right. Italy outpaced the Swedes for the whole of the first half. Sweden came back into it with some great substitutions. Italy dealt with this with masterful defending (and a superb save by Buffon). It only went wrong for the Italians with the sort of shot I have never seen in decades of watching football. And then the Italians reverted to smart attacking football for the last few minutes.

If Vieri had been six inches taller, Italy would have won 5-0.

if the goal had been six inches bigger too swindon would have won 3-0 :lolol:

italy did play well though, but sweden going forward look quite good.

I think it would be bad for the tournament if italy went out. Last night they played some superb football. I dont think we should write them off just yet, Italy should easily beat Bulgaria, so I dont think Denmark or Sweden will be looking for a draw.

I think I'm right here. If Sweden and Denmark draw 2-2 and Italy beat Bulgaria 2-0, the qualifiers out of Italy and Denmark will be decided by drawing lots! What a way to go out that would be!

Football Focus mentioned that the qualifying record of both teams for Euro 2004 would be used.

I think that is unfair, as each team have totally different qualifing groups, possible one harder than the other.

Quick penalty shoot out should be the answer or if time allowing a play-off match.

If teams are level on points a new league table is formed with those teams-so this would eliminate all results against Bulgaria.

Then goal difference and goals scored are used. I am guessing these would be equal if Sweden and Denmark draw 2-2.

They mentioned on the BBC a coefficient-but didn't explain what it was. ??? ??? ???

Italy are going to beat Bulgaria by about 6 goals!
Sweden can draw against Denmark, but I think they'll get a 3-1 result, or thereabouts.

Sweden and Italy are going to the next round.

I hope Totti gets hurt in training - I don't want to see that git in Euro again now.
