Isn't it funny how Premier League fans try to justify their affiliation

I mean, when you ask someone that was born and bred in Sussex why they support Arsenal/Man United/Liverpool etc they always come out with some crap like "I've supported them ever since I was small" or "my dad always supported them". BOLLOCKS. You 'follow' them because you are a glory hunting WANKER who wouldn't know the first thing about being a proper football supporter.

My dad supports Man City. Do I support Man City? NO, I support Brighton.

Premier League fans - bunch of arse.

Although I agree with you that the claim 'my Dad supported them' is often a bare-faced lie, you shouldn't assume that it is never true, nor should you ever castigate anyone for following family traditions in the supporting of a club. I am a Brighton fan because I was brought up by one. Simple. What's so f***ing wrong with that?

Well said that man. There is a Liverpool fan who works here who claims to be a born and bred liverpool fan who's lived in hayward heath all his life and has only seen liverpool play once live. He then take sth episs out of me for supporting brighton because they are Shit.

His justification is "I used to support them when I was a kid and besides the local team are shite" of course refering to brighton.

My Dad was a Pompey fan when younger but because we lived near Brighton he wanted me and my brother to watch live football and took us to the Albion for more than ten years because that was our local club. the key difference must be between following a team and supporting a team - we support the Albion they follow Liverpool.

worthing
Some years ago I got chatting to a lad who followed the Albion from his town of Chesterfield. We met at a Blackburn match and a number of others over a few months. Eventually I asked the obvious question, 'Why do you support Brighton?'

He replied 'They were always my favourite First Division team when I was a lad'

Seriously! :clap2: :clap2:

Seagullible (pete) shocked me when he told me that he wasnt born in Sussex and has never even lived here.

He supports Brighton because when he was a nipper WE WERE IN THE FA CUP FINAL.

I thought he was lying. Fair play Mr Griffin :clap2:

thats two words STEVEN!

I've alsway supported Brighton but must admit to being a glory hunting Spurs fan from the late 80's to mid 90's (Hoddle/Waddle/Lineker/Gascoigne era), dont care for them at all now as I put al;l my concentration into the Albion.
