Seems he might be having made 2 signings today, Wayne Quinn from Newcastle & Niclas Alexanderssen from Everton...

Unless ofcourse Pardew told him who to get?...

???

No Pardew done and dusted unless the managers association step in like reading want them to. As one Royals fan said, 'in my experience you dont reisgn from a job unless you have somewhere else to go'

Hmmm.... the general jist of it then:

For Sale: One Contract. Previously Owner Mr A. Pardew.

One worthless, no good, lying scum bags contract, recently valued by the "reverend" himself as absolutely worthless. Would suit a team who have recentely been relegated, and play in a grubby claret strip and think they are a big club. Would not be suited to a polish millionaire who expects staff to honour contracts. Can also include a job lot of gardening equipment for Mr Pardew to bring his garden up to standard whilst he waits for Reading to let him out of this contract and the buyer to be able to negotiate terms. Thanks for looking, please dont bid too high - Pardew wouldn't....

Someone hasn't taken too well to it!

Bitter? Well, apart from each person going to Upton Park armed with (a) a house brick, (b) a pair of pants each to wave around on the stand during the game, and (c) turning our backs on West Ham... there's none at all! :lolol:

Mr Pardew has made a grave error, and we shall be reminding him on Saturday, regardless of whether he's there or not! On the same theme, apparently John Madejski is sitting in the away end with us! Superb!

At last he has shown his true colours we all knew that anyway!! I can,t understand why he wanted to leave Reading as the West Ham is a tougher job where the fans expect to be promoted. Nothing less.

I agree with you Wilts. I think Pardew has treated Reading extremely badly & I can understand how the fans feel.

Personally I cannot understand him. Reading are doing so well, they have money to spend and prospects of promotion so why go to a club that is really struggling and have such high expectations.

No offence but if you reached the playoffs again next May and still didn't get promoted, I don't think the fans would consider it a failure.

Despite (even before he resignation) being was known as a proper **** but the Reading fans loved him and that is understandable after what he has achieved with them.

Now he has decided to destroy all that in a single stroke by acting like a total arsehole. I hope he fails big time.

Albion & England forever.

To be fair to Pardew I heard he's been offered 5 times his normal salary, and he has been there for 6 years.

I can't imagine anyone turning down that sort of payrise whatever the background.

I'm sure if SC had resigned in similar circumstances NSC would be awash with anti DK threads because we didn't have the money to keep him.

yead but its the way you leave thats important.

look at the reception that Micky Adams got when he came back to Withdean,........

can you seriously believe that Reading would do the same to PArdew when West Ham play at the Madstad

But I still think the fault lies with Madejski trying (for all the right reasons) to hold onto Pardew when it was clear that Pardew did not want to stay at Reading. Once that had been made clear to Madejski that Pardew had no intention of honouring his contract and was prepared to resign, he should have sacked him on the spot.

Massive difference going to a club two divisions above.

What Pardew has done is equivalent to Micky having gone to Huddersfield at that time.

Heard about a manager of a championship winning side who were
in the top three of div 2 who left to take up an assistant managers job of a Premiership team in freefall. The clubs fans still think he's a hero.

Will Reading fans be as grateful to Pardew if their new manager
manages to get them promoted anyway. Whatever you feel about what he's done, he's left them in a much healthier state than when he arrived.

In 5 years time West Ham will probably still be considered a big club, can you be sure Reading will be as well? In the long term Pardew may well be making the right decision.
