My mate once played in a game at a local pub where you had to predict 3 celebrities that would die in the following year. There was a points system - predicting the queen mother to die wasn't worth many points, but someone younger would get more points if the popped their cloggs.

Played an alternative sweepstake at work with my mates about how many horses/jockeys would die in the grand national! I said none and won £3!

Frank Skinner used to do a routine about a similar thing in his local. His mate had Arthur Askey and when he (Askey) had his legs amputated his mate tried to collect half the money!!!
