Possibly. His average in England however - on less batting-friendly pitches - is 42.5, not too shabby,

I said "right now" because he's given up the captaincy to concentrate on his batting and seems to be doing pretty well with it.

I drew attention to him because he seems to be ignored when people talk about the best batsmen in the world, yet he's got a fair old record.
