Is this a 2 season team?

I keep hearing fans rattling on about better strikers but they are nothing without good service. The pre-requisites for regular goalscoring are....
1) At least one creative winger, capable of beating defenders and capable of crossing accurately. The mistake was not trying to keep Craig Conway. Buckley should have been offloaded earlier and Conway retained ( finances permitting of course ) Solly March may be the answer but he has his own problems at the moment. KLL is an explosive, impact player, in his own world, blazing shots and crosses miles wide before eventually producing something spectacular. Exciting but out of control.
2) Creativity from midfield. The ability to spot openings quicker and release players in forward positions. Not one cameo ball a game but regular probing and trying. The ' Derry Pele ' will help but he isn't getting much game time and the likes of Crofts and JFC lack that creative spark. More class needed. Better deadball delivery.
3) Different balance up front. There is no question that if we are going to persevere with CMS, Baldock and Colunga then a big target man is essential. COG could play that role and there were signs on Tuesday that his introduction improved things. If he isn't up to it, then a new big man in January is essential. We have no aerial threat upfront and opposition defences are getting an easy ride at present.
Our forward players have to find 35-40 goals between them this season. At the moment, it looks a big ask.
