Is there a definitive site for email addresses of MDs and so on?

I am trying to get hold of the higher echelons of Heineken, but have failed to get past the 'Customer Service' level. :tantrum:

Apologies for the boring thread, but I thought someone might know.

I am trying to get onto the marketing majors as I believe I am onto a winner with my advert.

Doubt you will get that info from any site. Suggest you identify who he is then send your email to as many variations of it as you can think of. It's worked several times for me with other companies.

eg. I assume you have an email from customerservices@heineken.com or something similar. If you know the md's name is Fred Jones then try
fredjones@heineken.com
fred.jones@heineken.com
fjones@heineken.com

etc. You might strike lucky. Also, make sure you track the email. Bogus ones should bounce back.

Ignore the links, they aren't real.
Good luck.

does this advert refresh the M.D.s that other adverts can't reach Paul?

You could always try writing a letter to:-

Jean-François van Boxmeer
Chairman of the Executive Board/CEO
Heineken N.V.
Group Corporate Relations
P.O. Box 28
1000 AA Amsterdam
The Netherlands

But even that is only a "corporate relations office".

if its an ad idea, you'd probably want to find their ad agency instead.

Fact: I was out drinking with a guy from Heineken's marketing department a couple of months ago. Even he admits their beer isn't very good...

Their marketing campaigns are, however, already supreme examples of how to sell sub-standard rubbish to gullible people for an enormous profit. You really think your idea can improve on this slickly-run corporate machine?

Edit: If your concept is about beer generally, and not about the dreaded H specifically, why not approach some of the smaller brewers who give a damn about their products, and not a company that already has far more billions of euros than they deserve.

You can almost always get hold of the HR people. Try getting the name contact details from them. Press Office will have their phone number all over press releases and the web probably.

I had a major issue with John Lewis and (via HR) got the correct contacts for MD and Head of Customer Services. Emailed them and had the matter resolved in half a day - after 14 weeks of grief.

Hope that helps.

I doubt anyone at Heiniken have much to do with their ads apart from sanctioning the end product or outlining the initial scope.

When Freddie Heineken was in charge (until he died in 2002), he was very hands-on with every aspect of the marketing, and single-handedly responsible for making the company what it is. The colour green on the label was his idea, because he thought it was more appealing. The fact the 'e's in the name are slightly inclined was also his idea, as he thought it made them more apealing by turning them into little smiley faces...

Now if only he'd paid as much attention to hiring someone who knew how to brew...

Since his daughter took over I agree she's probably less involved in the nitty-gritty.

Thanks Greens :(
Probably not a good idea. They'll either say it is crap and not use it, or say it is crap and then rip off the idea.

This ^

There is the urban myth about an ad agency advertising for a junior, and asking the shortlisted candidates to each come up with ten ideas for ad campaigns, thus gaining one junior and about a hundred ideas for ads

Massive thanks to William and all.

Truff, I think the idea has legs, but it would really be consigned to either Heineken or at a push Carlsberg. It was an idea engineered around their slogans. Not nearly good enough to produce something for a more willing cause (assuming that this idea is good enough at all!).
