Or do NSChatters consider themselves 'superior' other Albion fans???

I often read NSC in a quiet moment at work and have to say that the topics covered and opinions put forward don't often converge with conversations I have with non-internet fans.

Also, regular posters on here can sound very self important..... Ooh, NSC new manager poll was mentioned on SCR; sign here to make sure DK give Jake 'Desert Orchid' Robinson a contract; join our 'Don't Go Stevie' petition to stop SC going to Reading - it worked to get him to re-sign during the summer!!

Does anything on here really have any affect on the 'real' world??

At the foot of the downs
NSC must be on average alot younger than the average age of a full withdean.

Going purely on numbers, the amount of regular posters on NSC makes up about one hundredth of the average Withdean crowd. So in that respect no, definitely not.

That said, a couple of things which have originated within these four walls have gone on to have a major positive impact for many more Albion fans. Most notably the REMF, which produced the flag, the annual supporters' matches with Palace, and the golf day.

I think all NSCers can be a little guilty of believing we have more influence than we actually do from time to time, but at the end of the day those thoughts are on the whole kept on here so other fans don't know about them anyway.

no. nsc is representitive of albion fans who have nothing better to do all day at work, etc than post on here (myself included)

btw, i think you'll find desert orchid is a family friend, and not actually jake robinson.

On some matters yes, I'm sure many non-NSCers want Jake offered a contract, and other issues like that.

However, going on the 1/100 of Withdean theory, I'm not convinced there are 60 people at Withdean every week who have Italia's problem concerning a little poo slipping...

Only a tiny fraction of the fanbase post on NSC so it cannot (and does not) claim to be a 'voice' for Albion fans any more than say the regulars at the Preston Park Tavern are the official 'voice' of Albion fans. That said the cross-section of views expressed on here probably does represent the cross-section of views of Albion fans in much the same way as an opinion poll of a thousand or so people gives a view of the voting intentions of millions. After all the Internet is not confined to computer specialists these days (although quite often I wish it still was)

This is however the busiest and best of Albion sites and if you want a feel of what Albion supporters are thinking then looking on here isn't a bad place to start - especially if you're outside the area and can't get to the PPT. Also it has the advantage that you can follow a discussion as it develops whenever it suits you. Also as Safeway says great things have come from NSC - specifically Fans Utd and the REMF. NSC as a collective entity has a right to feel proud of those achievments.

Finally although only a tiny fraction of Albion support actually read this (much less post) I think the figure is a lot higher if you just look at fans who go to Away games. It seems to me that all the Away fans post on here!
