Stayed for a weekend a couple of times to watch the Albion many years ago and also stayed for a few nights for a work conf, great city, fantastic night life. However, how you can say they are the two best football teams in Europe in absolutely beyond me.

What I miss about Brighton is the beach and its own bohemian and indivual personality, Manchester does not have that!!

I think you'll find Manchester has some extremely, er, bohemian areas if you know where to look...

Its a great city for a night out but I wouldnt want to live there. Would put Brighton, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London ahead of it.

Granted Simply Red and Take That are embarrassing shite, but the music scene here is great.

When trying to win an argument about great music remember NEVER to include The Bee Gees.

My daughter is planning to move up there to live with her boyfriend :( She loves it up there, and she says they can rent a two-bedroomed house for the price of a few rooms in a shared house in Brighton (which was their original city of choice).

I was at University there and having been at University in London as well, I'd definitely prefer Manchester as a student.

It was the place that your mates came to visit rather than the other way round.

London a better city though to live though in my opinion. Always finding new bits.
