Is Johnny Dixon going to play this season?

I am mystifed with this player.

We need a striker. We paid out 55K for him yet he cannot even get on the bench for the Barnet game and then with Murray out he doesn't make the Bristol R squad either.

Whats the matter with him? Surely Aldershot rated him didn't they?

Is it not worth getting him out on loan or giving him a run in the squad, because if we are going to do either what was the point in the signing?:thud:

I think most of the squad would have to be injured before he managed to get a game

Unless MA totally does not rate him then what is the point with spending the money on a player who never plays.....

Farrington/ Turienzo spring to mind.....

I said on the other thread what I would have done, but with the lack of forwards I would have him on the bench, just to prove once and for all if he will do anything.

Fair enough. Maybe he will get a chance later on but i still reckon he will be gone in January

Wilkins started him at Luton last season when Fozzy was injured. He looked very quiet then, but that was his full debut. He could be another of these players that just isn't given a real chance in the first team. Nathan Elder will know what I mean...

However at present we have loaned 3 of our other forwards out, Robinson has yet to prove he is anything other than the NSC Great Hope, Hart has not played up front on a regular basis since we were playing home games at Gillingham, so really he has to be looked at, if nothing else just to prove that he is that bad.

The only way he will go is the same way as Robinson and Loft, when we pay their contracts up or their contracts finish (next summer).

Exactly. Both Wilkins and now Adams have been suitably unimpressed with him and it speaks volumes that he couldn't get in the 16 on saturday with Gargan & Gatting out on loan.

The problem with getting rid is we will have to pay up his contract, nobody is going to buy him from us.
