is it wrong to spend £70 on trainers

I go to America where I buy mine.
£70 on the higher scale for me. No more.
I would be prepared to spend up to £200 for a pair of boots though.

No spend whatever you want on a pair of trainers, perosnally I spend somewhere between 50 and 80 quid on trainers each time I buy some.
My opinion is if you like a pair that are 70 more than a pair that are 50 then get the pair you like otherwise you will regret it later.
Whats the point in having money if you don't spend it.

In this day and age. not really, no.

I didn't know ' thou shalt not spend large amounts of money on tacky footwear ' was mentioned anywhere in the old testament.
Perhaps you should console yourself with the thought that you are improving Nike / Adidas / Umbro ( delete as appropriate ) end of year profits, indirectly supporting the exploitation of cheap labour ( although at that price they must be getting pretty good wages, but nothing like what a British employee would expect of course ), and looking like a pikey to boot !

Actually I have a burberry bag - I brought it before it was a pikey range a few years ago.
Needless to say it's now at the back of my wardrobe.
