I would feel quite intimidated to see a concourse full of NSC "Celebrities". If I was queueing behind Uncle Spielberg I think I'd struggle to order my pie and pint as I'd be so tongue-tied in the presence of greatness.

In NSC earlier days there were a load of people with their names on their shirts/t shirts. I once saw a gaggle of at least 6 NSCers with names on their backs in the concourse at Rushden and Diamonds. I gather that it was considered pretty cool at the time.

I know of several who have done this. I might even personally LIKE them individually. It was, however, never "considered pretty cool" even by the wearers. I know some of the really cool fuckers on here...none of them has a username shirt that I have seen.

I was able to AVOID some of the clear headbangers from these boards because they were considerate enough to tell me who they were via their replica shirt so that's a big plus. In fact some posters should be f***ing COMPELLED to have their NSC tag tattooed on their face to avoid the risk of interbreeding with the normal population.

Pretty sure the wearers I saw at Rushden thought that they were pretty cool, shouting to each other by user name

I actually quite enjoy putting a face to the name, so I think everyone else off here should wear them, except me of course

No it was never EVER 'pretty cool'. It is the mark of a complete and total dork, but live and let live that's what I say, we need dorks just as much as we need normal, well-balanced people.

It was certainly not cool, but did reflect a certain point in time, and I must confess that I must plead guilty on this one.

It had a certain degree of naffness, a bit like fondue sets, legwarmers, Madchester, designer wear on hooligans and the bongo bush down the road, where you could find discarded pornographic magazines. All have been superceded by something else.

AT the Watford game I was PROUDLY wareing MY Albion SHIRT with 'ENREST No.1' on the back when some PERSON said only SADDOS or INTERNET geeks do that. I was QUITE shocked AS I have always HAD either 'ERNETS' or 'ARS 4 ME' on the BACK of my shirt and NOW I don't know WEATHER to ware it on SATURDAY or NOT ?

Is it WRONG to have your NSC name on your SHIRT ?

Would be a bit harsh in my case, as "Gritt 23" came from what I have put on the back of my Albion shirts, rather than the other way round.

To be honest, it's less likely that you are going to leave and support another team. Think of all those who had Murray on the back of their shirts, or Bennett. True legends like Ward and Zamora are exceptions to the rule.
