Is It Time To Clear The Dead Wood?

The likes of Watson, Mayo, Pethick, Hart, Jones, Etc... Just simply aren't performing anymore... Is it time to get shot of some of these old players that have served us well but simply aren't good enough at the moment?

Yes to Watson, Pethick and maybe Jones.

Mayo can play in division 1. MM will sort him out...:clap2:

Pethick was good as a CB earlier this season and last year(after Coppout joined), everyones being over harsh on him, I mean, he's a crap midfielder yes, but he's fine at CB

Hart was one who did actually put in some effort today. He may not have figured too much in recent matches but he was certainly better today. It doesn't help when you're surrounded by others who don't seem to be putting in a similar effort. I think he and Mcphee were the only ones who really appeared to be trying. If you thought Roberts was bad against Boston you should have seen Kuipers today......not at his best!!!!

Think its time hart went although a favourite as he is classed as a striker and doesn't ever score its a fact.

Time to get real and stop being loyal seriously:nono:

Over reaction. All teams go through bad patches. Maybe they've lost some of our their hunger? Maybe they're just not getting the rub of the green. Get rid of Hart or Mayo? No way. Two of the longest servants. Long because they have consistantly done a good job for us. We've got a problem in midfield which needs to be addressed. We could do with more competition for the left wing slot. We need a striker who can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

We don't need a new team. Really bright idea.. throw away a team capable of great things..

Spot on Turkey. Mayo is (nearly) always impressive. 100% and not much gets by him.
OK, so OGH doesn't get that many these days, but he's hardly p[layeed consistently as an out and out striker.
Creative midfield is what we need - someone with control, vision and the ability to open up defences using a bit of nous.
I said it before and I'll ask it again, any chance of getting Kanchelskis to change his mind?

Just look at who we've lost. Zamora and Brooker. Knight has replaces Bobby's goals but can't hold the ball up and brings others into the game the way Bob did. No Brooker on the left and no one to partner Chippy in the middle.

As for goals. Hart has scored one this season (very nice goal too) from 16 starts. Carpenter has no goals from 16 starts. Jones has none from 14. Don't see why Harty should be singled out. We could do with getting Zesh back though as he scored a couple.

Yeah but hart is mostly classed as a striker end of story and for years he struggles to get 5 every season it seems.???

I don't think we should rely on Hart to get goals. He was never prolific and now we always play him out on the wing he has to try and get back when needed, which seems to be a lot at the moment!

Loyalty is not shown to us by some players and managers who left.
I like hart as a player thats a fact, but we seriously lack goals from midfield and even defenders and that must be sorted as if knight gets whopped its hello div 3 :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

i think that some are just going through a bad patch, but a few, like Pethick are just not good enough to be a first time regular. :(
