Is it ethically wrong to change your team?

Isn't this simply a distinctintion between "supporting" a team and "following" a team.

Whilst I am a BHA supporter (result - too much jumping up and down at Loftus Road last Saturday) , at various times in my past i have "followed" ( ie watched games fairly quietly and not cared much about the result) Arsenal, Portsmouth (when I was at college there) and even now I cast a curious eye in the direction of Tottenham's results just to see if a certain legend made the bench.

But as for that shambles in SE25:lolol:

But no no one should change their team. AFC Wimbledon have just got a load of Wimbledon fans going so they are not true supporters :nono: [/B]

you obviously miss the point matt
afc wimbledon fans are ex franchise fans who formed a NEW TEAM not ones who switched alligence, there was no club called afc wimbledon before the final decision was taken to move to m k.they did not desert franchise franchise deserted them

I dont understand, and never will understand this 2nd team thing.
Me neither. Its Brighton, Brighton & Brighton for me and always has been since my old man took me to the Goldstone when I was about 5 or 6 in the mid-seventies.

And no I don't have a :censored: premiershite team...not until we get there anyway :p

You have touched on this matter in the past Brovian, it must be a weight off to finally let it all out in a bid to rid yourself of your demons.
I could have sorted out your demons all those years ago at primary school. You only had to ask. :D

I'd say yes, but there are not hard and fast rules. For example - when I was too young to know any better, I supported Liverpool. Then I grew up a little, realised what it was all about and The Albion have been the only team in my life ever since.

Am I wrong? Should I have stayed loyal to Liverpool and shunned The Albion?

I think it is a question of intensity. Before I moved to Hove when I was 13 I purported to support West Ham as everyone at my school had to have a team and Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst played for them. It was a pretty artifical support and I was able to glory in success whilst their failures had no more than a peripheral impact on my mood. However when I started watching the Albion in the 72/3 promotion season it became an all consuming passion. A Saturday result would determine whether the following week would be happy or whether a black dog of depression would descend. I could never imagine any other team having that affect on me again.

And what do you reckon the score would be, Jambo?

I would expect Hearts to win on the evidence of having seen Brighton play once this season and Hearts about 4 or 5 times. Most SPL games are on a par with English Div 1 games. Having said that Leon Knight would score a lot of goals up here.
