Guess that's ultimately down to your 'friend' who encouraged Archer to buy the club isn't it?

EX friend.

I have neither heard from nor seen him since about 12 months prior to the sale of The Goldstone but why let a little matter like that muddy the waters.

Drunk...moi?

and BG....once an Archer apologist always and Archer apologist...sorry mate. That is how it goes. In fact if you were around at the time of the occupation of France and the subsequent liberation, you would have had your hair shaved off for being a collaberatour(sp)

I am afraid your attempts to give a fair and rationed argument, which I must admit you do very well are always going to be tainted by your past....sorry and all that:rolleyes:

You might as well go into the garden and eat worms cos nobody likes you:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: ( I do really:) )

I can understand resentment due to my past associations but unfortunately cannot do anything about that but at least SOME of the people who post on here are able to put up an argument and not rely on just personnal abuse. Whether or not we agree on issues is not that important it is the ability to hold your own in an argument that is important.

What does irk me at times is that when people are in a corner their only escape is to condemn me for having worked for Stanley , when he was a good man paying all the wages and expenses after taking over from Brian Bedson, a piss artist maybe but he kept us afloat then. All to be ruined at a later date with their well published ruination of the club.

Another sensible post from an idiot who tried to get the worst doss house of a pub in Haywards Heath, The Sussex saved sums it all up really.

The Sussex ... the worst doss house in Haywards Heath, you obviously didn't sample the delights of the Heath (before its makeover), or maybe (years gone by) the Heyworth ....

Harty is a genuine fan, he's not afraid to court contoversy and I think he does a bloody good job. He's not a professional presenter and if he was I can only assume that we would have a very dull, middle of the road show.

All the stuff about the crowds at the Withdean was based on a comment by Gary O'Reilly, not Ian and I happen to agree - I don't think we would be filling Falmer every week. However, certain games (Palace, Leeds, West Ham, play off semi, a Spurs replay etc) would see a full house and the club would earn the revenue it so badly needs.

The controversy was created by Paul Heywood's article, which was at worst, a slightly exagerated piece in order to highlight our plight.

As for John Byrne, nice guy, Albion legend, terrible on the phone in the other week.

I haven't read all of the many postings about this subject because they just seem to go on and on and on. However, many on here seem to like the phone in. Sport on Five is on at the same time - if you don't like it, DON'T LISTEN.

Pub was opposite the rear exit of the railway station. It was converted into offices and is called Hayworth House. Strange that it was less that 50 yards from the police station yet was the nastiest place in town .... fun though ..

All the Haywards Heath "Faces" used to frequent the Hayworth Market Bar. Your dad will know them Fatboy. (He wasn't one of them). Most of them supported Millwall.
