What, like better than Michael Barrymore, Brucy Forsyth or Nicholas Parsons?

So lets get this straight. He's going to leave Juventus, where he has a highly supportive board, where his team are on course to break the points total in Serie A and where he has one of the top 4 teams in Europe for the England job?
He's been offered the Real job and isnt interested, why on earth would he want the England job? He's not even interested in the Italy job.
Beach Hut said:You may mock but unless offered no-one knows.
Pride may take a part here, personally I think he would be tempted as it is a massive job.
enigma said:Okay granted. But I think the chance of him joining England are about the same as Henry signing for Chelsea.
Beach Hut said:So pretty much odds on then if the right money is offered![]()
enigma said:Be serious.
Beach Hut said:I am if you have the money which the FA do and make the right offer it could easily happen.
I think Hiddink is good at coaching a potential team we need some just to fine tune a quality team and Capello is the only one who could do this.
DJ Leon said:How about Paul Jewell? Hiddink has a good record. So does Capello. Sven has better record though and I don't wnat another Sven.
Let's get someone who isn't just in it for a payday. That means an Englishman in my book.

WON THE EUROPEAN/CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
Got sacked a week later though cause "monalona",sorry, Barca won the league.
Also won European cup at PSV in the 1980's

DJ Leon said:Yeah, it's a great record. BUT Sven had a great record too.
As far as I'm concerned any English manager is better qualified.
Beach Hut said:So Paul Jewell is better qualified than Capello ?
The problem here is we don't train a manager under an apprenticeship to be a National Manager.
The Dutch do it but we do not equip potentials like Pearce with the right training.
I would more than love an English manager but the quality is not there and more worrying won't be there for ages.
DJ Leon said:My point is Sven has an excellent record, which is why he got the job.
I think we need to avoid giving it to someone just becasue they have a good record. There are other things to consider, like are they are a greedy, decietful and indiscreet worm of a man?

Basically he has a history of building strong, cohesive units, getting the most out of players and playing great football.

TRIED and TESTED formula to quote another poster called Ernest.

DJ Leon said:Like we did for Sven? We paid the best, we got the best.
He went on to prove himself unpopular and most people seem glad to see the back of him.
International football isn't just about money, is it?
