Toby can do a job

Reading Andy Naylor's article about Spanish Len being the LONE striker it looks like The Viking isn't in contention for a place in the first team squad.

very good, well done and all that, but don't really see the point.....they have happened, agreed, but were they suitable for us ? Don't think so.

I await with baited breath a public apology from Gus, just like he publicly promised we would have a striker in on loan before tomorrows' game !
The list makes a few points, I shall explain them to you:-

- There was was little/no quality available.
- Minimal business was done by top flight teams.
- 8 EPL teams did no business, at all.
- Only 6 players dropped from the EPL to the championship.

If the players aren't there to be signed, The Albion can't sign them.

Gus knew he needed a striker and said he was going to get one, probably not realising it would be so difficult.
Should the situation arise again, I doubt Gus would you the same language.

Last year Gus was rounded on by pretty much all of us, for bringing any old barn doors, all bar Woods disrupted the team.

Now he's getting abuse for not doing that.

The target fell through, and he has to work with what he's got.
That has to be infinitely more preferable to signing a fat, old, African.
