Agree entirely re the free weights, am in the process of converting my garage into a gym.
Should save me a packet in the long run.
Any ideas where I can get some decent kit from ?

Well Arnie will tell ya that it's free weights over machines every day of the week. I bench 110kg+30KG olympic bar BTW. Approx 300 pounds. I can stack any chest machine.
