Going by the amount of snobby Londoners and Chelsea shirts i've spotted in the last couple of days in the town, Outnumber Albion atleast 4 to 1 and they even beat Man Ure by 2 to 1.

I have noticed a steady increase of Chelski shirts as well! Stupid :censored: :censored: spanners! Hard to tell if they are genuine holiday makers or just glory hunters???

Also noticed an increase in Pompey shirts aswell, suppose it's far more attractive to the kids to support a premier side.

Perhaps we'd see more Albion shirts if we didn't have such a naff sponsorship name splashed across it. I have several mates who say they'd buy one if it didn't have SKINT plastered on it. Perhaps many people find it too embarrassing! Perhaps we should try to get a sponsorship deal with LOADED!!!!!!

tosh mate complete tosh - we have the best and most witty sponsorship name in the whole of the football league! If people dont buy it for that reason then they aint real fans IMO :glare:

That's my point... "real fans" will wear it cos they would wear the blue and white regardless of what commercial it had on it, but the casual punter will not. In most towns you'll get fairweather fans and even non-fans buying the club shirt out of either peer pressure or as a fashion statement or just out of loyalty to their town as a statement of where they are from.... but I reckon many casual Brightonians think it's just embarrassing to have SKINT plastered across their shirt, so therefore you see fewer Albion shirts around than you otherwise would. That's not disloyalty to the club, merely a constructive look at how we could see more shirts and get more dosh in to buy!!!

In a way, we already do. Skint Records is an subsidiary of Loaded Records. Nothing to do with the magazine of the same title, though.

Don't mean t sound silly but why would you wear a brighton shirt around in Brighton, i don't think i've ever worn it into town. Those who wear football shirts to show off their team while shopping are merely doing it becuse they think its 'cool' to support chelsea or pompey or whoever whereas we already know we are cool for supporting the albion and feel no need to show it off.

Schnoogun bitches.

You would have thought it was cool for casual fans to be seen wearing a top,a good one at that, sponsored by a record label?

I'm convinced we are lucky to have the coolest sponsor in the league.

Don't worry,we'll have the fairweather kid fans that are flocking to Chelsea back when we have a stadium and are pushing for promotion from the 1st.All it needs is for Fatboy to have a No1 hit,and appear on TOTP in the stripes,at around the same time and...

BINGO

Spotted two Pompey shirts boarding a bus outside Churchill Square at the weekend!! Surely Brighton and Hove Buses should have a proper dress code policy!!!!

For the record I am proud to wear an Albion shirt as is my son... just responded to a thread which asked the question of why we don't see more Albion shirts around - cos I have found it annoying when I have suggested to a couple of friends of mine why they don't have an Albion shirt and I was told they wouldn't be seen dead wearing something with SKINT on the front. It's in all our interests to sell as many shirts as poss to raise more dosh for the club and also to make the club more "visible" which will show the strength of support for the club in the town and help reinforce the argument of support for Falmer etc.... if the powers that be don't see many Albion shirts around but loads of ManU etc they will doubt the true strength of feeling for the club in the town. Wear your shirt with pride - even when shopping!!!!!

I wear my shirt/s everywhere I go, be it shopping/pub/riding my bicycle or whatever. Plus I think the first season we had skint I saw more shirts than crappy Donnatellos & Sandtex put together - if people dont wanna wear it because of the sponsor then they are shallow :censored: who are no doubt closet Palarse fans :D

Nothing wrong with Skint, plenty of merch, always see a skint top (not always the stripes) about the place. Good bit of buisness on DK's behalf I say.

Can you please tell me what exactly is wrong with having SKINT on the front of our shirts, i don't get it. Would you rather have Pizza Hut or Churchill? We keeping it real baby.

Skint records is probably the coolest sponsor of any football club in the country. Its a trendy dance label with some quality artists, I used to wear a skint t-shirt before we were even sponsored by skint cause it was a cool shirt. Anyone who thinks its crap obviously has no idea who skint actually are.

Would people rather still have a crap donatellos logo on the front of their shirts.

I'll be gutted if skint stop sponsoring us.

I can imagine some people don't like having Skint on the front because they are insecure enough to think people will think they are skint peasants.

Then agin have you ever wseen a rich bloke in a flash car with an ugly bird?

I guess it'll be all the more amusing when we get Falmer and FatBoy buys the naming rights - we'll have the presenters on Sky and Grandstand and SCR etc saying "We're crossing now for the latest score from the Skint Stadium."!!!!!! I guess that will be a larrrf!!
