Alwight, now I know no one on here watched a single episode of Celeb BB, but does anyone reckon our Michael has done enough to resurrect his tv career?

OK Barrymore is a knobend as a person, but gifted as an entertainer as anyone who watched 'Strike it lucky' will know.

Err, No! I'd rather watch Palace.

Barrymore was brilliant before, a naturally talented entertainer full of confidence.

His second place shows the public still have a soft spot for him, but maybe he should consider something more restrained - presenting a reality TV show, something after the 9pm watershed.

Diving straight back into the early evening slot would be taking the piss.

I liked him less and less as the CBB went on, but most people seem to have had the opposite reaction, so his career is probably revived.

i think the majority of you are talking utter bollocks. Barrymore is a natural entertainer - and a good one at that. If it;s not your bag then so beit it but to say he cannot entertain or hold an audience is pure drivel.

Also with regards to his past - he is perhaps just a victim of his good nature. It would appear that rather than do anything malicious he was taken advantage of by some apparent 'friends' that resukted in the unfortunate death of somebody at his gaff. Barrymore himself knew little about it until it was too late.

I hope he makes a return. Anybody who makes an attempt to bouce back from that amount of grief deserves some support.

Nobody knows exactly what happened to cause Lubbock's death, so there will always be a cloud having over Barrymore for that.

For that reason I think the innocent family friendly TV shows should be consigned to history, but I think he could host the sort of show Chris Evans recently tried but f***ed up.

He is just not funny. He also seems to be a bit of a mess.

Although we dont know what happened at his house, his subsequent reaction was poor. He did get a hard time from the tabloids but he also seems very quick to feel sorry for himself.

I dont wish him any ill but I dont like him and I dont think he deserves another shot at prime time TV.

The main problem he will have is that his style of entertainment is no longer what people want. His was on a downward trip before the events happened.

I guess I'd best put it this way then.

I cannot relate to any audience that is entertained by him.

I just don't get it.
To me he is indicative of the lowest common denominator style of entertainment prevalent in the UK these days. (Of which BB is just another example).
