I've convinced the wife that we're doing a City Break to one of the Capitals of Culture with 2 nights at the Hilton.

Any ideas where the cultural bit is?

I've got:
Cavern Club
Liver Building
Ferry cross the Miiiiirsey

Anything else?

Head to the Philarmonic for a great pub interior (Grade 1 listed urinals no less).

Albert Dock is a good place for a wander, with some good museums.

Great convincing there 16bha, I'm stuck with watching the game on the telly.

Dandyman

In London village.
Staying over on Sunday and will be re-visiting Liverpool's fantastic contribution to British brewing heritage.

Brand new Museum of Liverpool (about 5 mins from the Hilton next to the ferry terminal) is worth a visit.

Beatles museum (in the ferry building).

The Three Graces (Liver Building, Cunard Building, Port of Liverpool Building (where I work) which is a world heritage site.

Two Cathedrals.

Historic Albert Docks with lots of restaurants and clubs.

Cavern quarter (music, clubs etc).

If your wife is into shopping (silly question) your hotel is next to Liverpool One, the new city centre shopping centre.

Should be enough to keep you occupied.

Cheers, this is costing me a fortune, so might skip mentioning Liverpool One

I live near Prestatyn and it takes me about an hour to get to work. I park in Hamilton Square and get the train to James St.

If you ever see a red A3 with a BHA number plate and Albion sticker in the back window that is me!

You haven't got a BMW have you?

Ever since they binned Fred the weatherman off his floating map in the Albert Dock, there's been nothing worth seeing in Liverpool.
