Like all those people who bought a Nokia 3410 and then found that Java games are unusable on black and white...

You only need 2 leads.they look the same, one goes into the wall for charging (if you don't want to use the pc) and one goes into the computer (it has 3 prongs:circle,square,triangle).

The one you've pictured is for mains charging (i bought mine in the US and have to put it through my Playstation2 lead into the wall)

My sister bought her son an iPod and his pc doesn't have Firewire so she had to buy the extra cable that connects the iPod to the pc via usb. It sounds like you need the same thing -
