Anyone with an ipod i really need some help. I might be making a right pigs ear out of this but all that I received in the box today was this:

In the box: iPod, Earbud headphones, AC adapter, dock connector to FireWire cable, 4-pin-to-6-pin FireWire adapter

Compatibility: Mac and PC

what am i missing cause i dont know how to connect it to my pc. if any one can help i would be extremely grateful.

yeah i no that part but how ... it seems that i dont have the correct cables ... or can i use any usb cable ?

Install iTunes and the iPod software first, then plug in the iPod itself.

The rest will run on it's own (famous last words).

Would have thought that the Firewire and USB cables would be self-explanatory

Sounds like your just missing a USB2 port in the pc.

I like the way your starting another thread to shake off the piss-takers.Stick at it, i'm new to them too.It's not idiot-proof at all,although i can't help i'm afraid because a friend helped me.

where can i get one ? or a decent usb cable from that will work ?

You're just pissed off because you bought a player thats already outdated because its got, oh, no WMA support, no Ogg support, black and white screen, etc...

Like all those people who bought a Nokia 3410 and then found that Java games are unusable on black and white...
