iPhone 4 help

I've finally got my new phone, but I'm having problems with the email. I've got about 5 thousand emails in my hotmail account and my iPhone seems to think they're all new..... and pulls them into my phone. Every time I delete them all from my iPhone, it goes and gets the next 200 old emails. Anyone know how I can stop this?

I dont want to delete the mail from my hotmail account incase I need them for reference.

Sorry, I don't have an iphone, but, can you set up a new folder on hotmail and move them all there?

On your hotmail, mark them all as read. THen update your iphone mail app.

well i cant help that. obviously literally driving a nail through it would not be advisable and i'd imagine anyone with at least half a brain cell would realise this.

Having said that - in my opinion its about all the iphone is good for - should be an app for that.
