Anyone thinking of attending the Public Inquiry at Brighton Town Hall should be aware that it has adjourned until Tuesday, 8th March, starting at 9.30 am. There will also be a session the following day, also starting 9.30 am.

These two days are to hear the evidence of the Cook Estate, owners of Toad's Hole Valley, who are promoting a stadium and business park there. There will be no sessions on Thursday or Friday.

Thereafter the inquiry is adjourning until Tuesday, 12th April, to hear some more evidence from Lewes District Council and the final speeches from all the parties.

Why?

Harrison the LDC transport consultant is off sick with stress. LDC are not calling their cost consultant. Other proposed witnesses have decided not to attend.

The Cook family refused to move their people forward. So they will now give evidence next week, although odds are they will try and string it out for more than two days so that at least one of their witnesses can come back in April. Remember this is the organisation that put their evidence in early, has not attended a lot of days of the Inquiry, has not asked any questions of witnesses. Has then put in extra evidence and generally have done everything they can to f--- up the Inquiry just so they can put some value on a piece of land they own.
