I couldn’t be more excited. Travelling back from Andalucia for both the Forest and Villa matches. Haven’t been to the Amex for about4 seasons. We are going fell those ‘tricky trees’. The Spanish commentators love that nick name. Personally, I had never heard it before.

Smiling to myself as when I first started watching, it cost 2/6, which included return train fare from Burgess Hill, programme and entrance to the ground. Going to cost me about 2k - pie and pint £125 quid x 2, plus hotels, flights etc.

Much better to spend my kid’s inheritance, neither of whom have kept the faith, than to leave it to them. Perhaps it was being dragged around the country to numerous 3rd division grounds, that put them off.

Am I a terrible father?

Of course not.

I sort of wish inheritance wasn't even a thing and everyone had to start from scratch themselves.

I can get you the pies, and TWO pints each, for a very special one-off, Andalucia Special Offer price of £80.00

PM me and we'll get it sorted.

Keep spending your money on watching the Albion.

They've had their chance to follow the righteous blue and white path and they've not taken it.

My son who is 10 hasn't quite got my football fanaticism and whilst he quite likes playing he's really not bothered about watching it on TV even if it the Albion. It's all a bit worrying his lack of Albion devotion:(

I've had words and advised that we might have to excuse him by saying he was dropped on his head as a baby. Alternatively, I've advised him to not get too excited about a big lottery win as he will be carted off to boarding school if he doesn't buck up his ideas.

Am I a bad parent?

It was my dad passing away which sparked a more dedicated following for me - it started as a way to remember him by doing something he loved, and I got fully hooked in. So, you never know...

Following the advice of my my learned colleagues, I conclude that I am a bad father because my two boys don't follow the Albion, therefore I should spend their inheritance. It is only just and fair.

This reminds me of a gag:

The wife and I decided we don’t want children……we’re going to tell them tonight.
