I cant believe that this system will be incorporated. In a hypothetical situation if the full allocation at Portsmouth and Cardiff were taken up by Withdean STH it would then create an elite list that nobody could possibly enter until somebody failed to buy a ticket for a game or we played at a ground with a a very large away capacity. Even then the games would be few and far between so supporters couldnt accumulate enough points to buy tickets for prestige away games should it happen. There must be many supporters who went to nearly every away game last season but didnt go to Withdean for whatever reason.
But your situation is too hypothetical for words BG... and they'll probably only give points for attending unpopular away games like Cardiff.

Can't believe that chap above thinks we'll sell out Cardiff. No-one* sells out Cardiff, they're all too scares to go there just like millwall. When have we ever taken more than about 500 to a midweek match 200 miles away?

*Swansea being the exception which proves the rule.

The "Withdean preferential factor" must be filtered out at some point - it's just a matter of when which we'll find out soon enough.

If my fantasy points system was reality it could be done for the following season 1901ers allocated 1000 loyalty points , STHs allocated 800 loyalty points which are added on to 2011/2012 final points total.

If it not done until after Christmas me and 2000 like me could have accumulated so many points that even STH at only The Amex would be so far down the pecking order and non STH would have no chance whatsoever of a ticket.

That what the fans in exile have been saying all along , we could get a big club up north or the Midlands in the 4th round of the FA Cup with an allocation of 6,000 and non STHs wouldn't even get a sniff.

The club HAVE to look after those that put money into the club. In your scenario such people may miss out - so be it (I live c200 miles away from Brighton too). Most of these Midlands - Northern exiles will have no trouble getting into most of the games they want to get to.

The challenge comes when a lot of people are putting more money into the club than ever before and that is the minutiae we're still waiting for.

Agreed , upsetting some of the longstanding supporters and JCLs pumping in loadsamoney isn't good business practice as we emerge from being a tinpot club.

This really is a ridiculous thread. I doubt more than maybe three away matches next season will sell out. And even these only after they go on sale to non season ticket holders.

I reckon you could actually see our away following fall a little. The Withdean years meant that away matches offered a proper football experience that we weren't getting at home. I think once people are getting their proper fix every fortnight away demand may be less. It certainly won't rise enough to counteract the bigger grounds we are going to this season.

Looking at the online ticket website, I seem to have 1250 loyalty points as a STH who was also a STH at Withdean last season. Not sure what it means though.

The number of times an away fixture will be oversubscribed in this division is minimal. Just because we've got 18,000 STH's now, doesn't mean our away following is suddenly going to leap dramatically. We WILL take more away from home than before obviously, as the fixtures are more attractive. But then the stadiums are bigger, so the away allocations are bigger. Loyalty points will hardly need to come into it.

Pompey will be one of the high-demand ones and unfortunately they also have the shittest ground, but I bet everyone who really wants to go to Pompey, and gets their arse organised, will get their ticket without much drama. People are getting in a flap over nothing.

Having been to the previous away fixture, where we were torn apart by Paul Merson, in that grotty old away end, with (I think) seats bolted onto the old terrace, then having to endure the walk back to Fratton Station, with Pompey meatheads itching to get at us and some of our idiots goading them, I think I will be giving this a miss, especially as I plan to go to Cardiff three days later. I was a Withdean STH, so that will be one place going spare. The more annoying one could be Reading. I've not been there before and wish to put it on my list.

It means you're miles ahead of me in the pecking order. Despite the "previous purchase" record of 55 items listed, I have ZERO loyalty points.

I won't complain, though. It's what I expected having moved 300 miles away and given up my season ticket. I just picked a bad time to do it (and a bad location with no games within 180 miles)!

Felt quite safe to be honest. I remember being kept down that road for ages and when we emerged to where the Pompey lot were we were surrounded about 4 deep with O.B
