Again from the official msg board.
If you win you 'could' go top and if we win we 'could' go back to 2nd top so it should be a cracking game and hopefully you’ll have a decent following up here on Saturday (even though it’s a long way) ,
If you get here early enough for a drink why not try the Jacksons Wharf pub on the Marina , it's only a 7 min walk from the ground and there's a good football atmosphere in there, most clubs’ official sites recommend that you park here anyway. Coaches will probably have to drop you off at the ground but just walk past the club shop to the traffic lights, turn right down to the roundabout , go right again to the 1st pedestrian crossing and you’ll see the pub directly opposite you across the car parks , as I said it’s just a few minutes walk.
This season you can also buy the matchday programme from behind the bar (they’re usually delivered around 2.00pm).
Here's a bit about the Jacksons Wharf and how to get there.
If you head to the Marina there are a couple of pubs and loads of food outlets there. MacDonalds ,Burger King , KFC , Pizza Hut and an assortment of burger/sandwich bars and ice cream kiosks.
The JACKSONS WHARF is a very friendly pub right beside the water, where ALL AWAY fans are made to feel more than welcome, they have a football bar called the 'POOLS BAR’ which is well worth a look , lots of HUFC memorabilia, old programmes , scarves , shirts , photo's etc and as mentioned you can buy the matchday programme . If you're planning to call in there we also have scarves and bits and pieces from many other clubs (nothing from Brighton yet , hint , hint) so we are always looking for small items from other clubs (badges, car mini-strips , car scarf or pennants , etc ) to put up amongst all the other stuff so if you've got any small items they would be more than grateful . They serve decent pub food all day ( 12 - 9 ) and all your main courses are 2 for the price of 1. Kids are welcome and it's mostly families in the pub anyway. They have football music and videos on around the 'POOLS BAR’, which really builds a good pre-match atmosphere , and there is a pool table . Beware though if you're bringing women , there are lots of designer shops ( well the Designer Room , TKMaxx etc ) beside this pub. The ground is only 7mins walk from here and there's ample parking .
You can now also buy your matchday programme from inside the pub (from around 2.00pm) and they usually run a football card where you can win 25 quid in cash.
If you prefer a pub with some football atmosphere and some food then the JACKSONS WHARF is your best bet especially for away fans who like to mingle with the home fans (this is where I'll be from 11.30am, and you'll be made more than welcome, you can even put a couple of flags/banners up beside ours (temporarily like) as long they’re not offensive , you'll get some decent crack in there as well as a bit of atmosphere to get you in the mood for the match with the footie music and videos 'n' stuff ( starts about 1.30ish ), it’s easy to get to and easy to get to the ground from with loads of SAFE free parking ( CCTV AND police presence )beside the pub or anywhere on the Marina retail complex .
The Marina and Historic Quay is sign posted from the outskirts of Hartlepool as is the ground ( 7 min walk ) and you can’t miss this pub ,as you go past Asda on your left just go right the way round the next roundabout towards Blockbusters Videos and the Jacksons Landing/Designer Room shopping complex and you're there, they'll even tell you when to leave in time for the kick-off. (Opens at 11 , food from 12 )
A tip for you if you are parking down on the Marina , as you come up past the big Asda store don't be tempted to pull straight in there because they clamp on matchdays and there is loads and loads of free parking on the Marina , so carry on past Burger King and go right around the roundabout and park on the other side , either at the pub , museum or near MacDonalds , you'll be facing the right direction to get home and there's less queues to get out of the car parks .
If you want a quick peek inside the Pools Bar take a look at this site where you can have a look inside the PoolsBar on the internet (the pictures are from when we 1st opened it , there’s loads more stuff in there now but it gives you a feel for the place)

I hope you all have a great day whatever the result and wherever you go for a pint.
