1. Roses - I am the resurrection
2. Flowered up - weekender
3. New Fast Automatic Daffodils - Man without qualities
4. Smiths - What she said (live on Rank)
5. Muse - Plug in Baby

Question - why is there nowhere indie on a saturday night in brighton?

Ain't listened to indie for ages. Ain't gonna put any Oasis otherwise every one of my top 5 would be by them.

In no particular order:

Blur - Beetlebum
Stone Roses - Waterfall
Ash - Jack Names The Planets
Gomez - Whippin' Piccadilly
Pulp - Disco 2000

Nice thread...

Brings back a lot of memories & it's been said many times, this list would change if you asked me in ten minutes.

My Favourite Dress - The Wedding Present
There Goes the Fear Again - Doves
Goddess on a Hiway - Mercury Rev
Reel Around the Fountain - Smiths
Street Spirit (Fade Out) - Radiohead - this one will ALWAYS feature in my top 5 songs in ANY category.

its so true, theres the Gloucester on friday night but even that has changed to include rock music now!!

If i had the money it has always been my dream to open an indie club, with live bands on some nights, id love to turn the old casino in queens road into one ,it would be ideal place.

You're having a feckin laugh.

In order:

Forest - The Cure
How Soon Is Now? - The Smiths
Lazarus - The Boo Radleys
Cannonball - Breeder (Kim Deal rocks!!)
Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division

But I can't believe I haven't got the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays or New Order in there somewhere.
