Well my fine friends of NSC> I last left you in the exciting stages of my first date for some time and well, those of you who were interested will know what happened.

Things went well and we had been out for a couple of subsequent dates.

Anyway about three weeks ago I went out with her and her mates in a large pub crawl around Sevenoaks.

This was the first time I had really let my hair down in front of her and vice versa.

Everything was going swimmingly until about 11pm. Her friends had all gone back to someons house , on the top floor where the party was getting into full swing.

One of her closest friends said in a drunken conversation about the ex boyfriend and how he had been so un romantic. What she would die for , according to her mate was a really Shakespearian romantic gesture.

Filled with God 's fine grape and a few Vodkas on top I decided that in fact I was the man to present her with a bunch of flowers, (ripped up from her friends garden) on the balcony where she had noe retired to.

I estimated that it was about a five foot climb and I could hop over the balcony and say, something like, I am a soldier of Rome, honour me (We had been talking about Gladiator earlier and he she found Russell Crowe sexy). after my efforts, Russell Harty may be nearer the mark. any way, read on.

Flowers in hand, I began to shin the trellis gate leading to the fair lady above. In my pissed state, I had estimated 5 feet when in fact it was about twenty feet. I was struggling all the way up, slicing myself to pieces on the Rose thorns and various spiky shrubbery.

I reached the ledge below the balcony and was ready for my grand entrance when the trellis / lattice thing, creaked, gave way, and then tore from the wall, with me still very much attached to it.

I screamed I am a soldier of Rome, plummeted into the darkness and landed on the patio in a heap.

i am now nursing a dislocated kneecap, a ruptured anterior cruciate ligamesnt and a fractured tibia. I am in plaster for at least the next six weeks and on crutches.

all her mates think i am great and that she has 'fallen' for me.

I think it may all work out for the best. Anyway chaps, good to be back as they do not have NSC updates in the Kent and Sussex hospital.

diggers.

Good to be back.
