Kicking off the evening with an orange sake thing. I had this as part of a wine pairing a few months back and my dining partner bought me this as a gift.

I can’t remember what they said on the night, and the label is in Japanese ….but it’s very sharp, and very orange and a little bit sake. For those into techno this was purchased from Richie Hawtin’s sake shop.

I imagine Mitoma had a few bottles of this before last night’s game.

Happy Fridat!

For some reason have gone off red wine at present, enjoying a Sainsburys Finest Pinot Grigio Trentino instead...

Started with a tinny of Flint Eye dry hopped lager, tasty. Then a bottle of Bellingham Basket Press Syrah with dinner. Will tuck into a couple of single malts in front of the box.

Had a St Hallett Riesling the other day, really rather excellent. The variety has become very popular down under in recent years, there really are some excellent options. Don’t fret though, really enjoy one from Germany or France too, got some stunners in my cabinet.

Tonight I’ll mostly be drinking……water.

Got a long drive tomorrow and really don’t want a stinker of a hangover.
