Swindon, but used to be Manila
Went to fill up this morning at the pumps and I thought the queue was rather long...

I did think of tanker drivers again but I eventually see TWO cars (travelling together) had filled up and the occupants were getting coffee....after a few minutes one guy came out and just stood against the car reading the paper....

Why oh Why cant they just move the car into the parking spaces outside the shop?

When I eventually get my fuel I mentioned it to the young lady cashier, she had asked them to move on the grounds it was dangerous to other forecourt users and APPARENTLY they refused to move on the ground they were 'customers'..she done the right thing not argueing with them...

BUT why are some people just so ignorant ???

After you have filled up please move your car to the parking bays if you know you will be longer than just paying...its only manners.

Tell you what, if I was queuing for petrol and some gimp at the pump was loafing about drinking coffee and reading the paper, I'd soon be ambling over to ask him if he wouldn't mind awfully if he could please get the cack out of the way.

I also had an utter GOOMBA park up at the first of two pumps, with no space to get around to the front one. I beeped him as he was getting out and he just glared at me, then after what felt like quite a while, he got back in his car and moved it forward.

Why are people such selfish tossers?

Slightly off topic. I was crossing the road yesterday evening around 19:00 with my five year old girl and this car pulled up alongside us and had a go at us for crossing slowly!!!!! When we started to cross there was no traffic also no lights for pedestrians and he had the shriveled up balls to wind his window down and let fly with a load of expleatives because we crossed too slowly. Sone drivers are utter knobs.

most cars have registration numbers
you could take a note of the number
then report it to the traffic police (non-urgent number)

August bank holiday, a few years ago.

We pulled into an obviously busy forecourt, behind a Toyota Pious, just as women is heading off to pay.
A short while later, she returns fully laden.

Then youngest child gets out, and she takes her off to the toilet (I assume), without moving the car.

Upon her eventual return, I'm boiling over, teenage son then gets out, to do the same, and she is still sitting at the pump.

I went nuts, very out of character, leapt out banged on her window shouting 'If I wanted to holiday here, I'd have brought a bloody picnic'.

She tried to make out she was in the right, even after I pointed to all the vacant parking spaces. She then pulled forward 1 cars length, just enough for me to stretch the pump to my car.
I was on the forecourt for 25 mins!

I know what you mean but I think they fall into two basic camps:

a) Aggressive - I don't care about anyone else other than myself
b) Passive - I'm not very bright/ just didn't think/had something else on my mind

The trick is knowing which category they fall into before you decide how to remonstrate with them!

That is a piss take... However i do get pissed off when im driving and then stop at a pedestrian crossing and the person doesnt just give an acknowledgment of thx. I know by law i have to stop however a little thx wouldnt go a miss.

Depends. If I'm crossing already when they appear then no thanks are necessary. But if someone slows down or stops so I can step out then I'll always thank them.

Manners cost nothing more people should be like you and use them..

Quite. As far as I'm concerned the coldest depths of hell are reserved for those people who I let out of side roads or who I stop for to allow them to pass parked cars and then they don't thank me. Genocide, rape, murder, child-molesting whatever pale into insignificance compared with my fury when people don't thank me on the road.
