Would love to move back to Brighton. No idea what I'd do for a living if I did though.

Do what about 15,000 of us do 5 days a week...commute to London! I've been to and lived in a lot of other places but Brighton+Hove ticks all my boxes.

Long story, but very fortunate. We actually bought our plot of land back in 2006 (When the £ was worth 1.55 Euros) and only finished building our house about 12 months ago. We're not out there all the time at the mo as we're looking after my wife's mum who has dementia (So spend quite a bit of time in sunny Heathfield) How did we manage it? Basically, cost-wise, we exchanged a semi in Hassocks for our land/ house in Greece. No brainer really. The winter's excellent! Quiet and just us and the locals but with enough things open etc in the off season. Don't wish to be anywhere else, ever.
