playing better football, this is the worst football at home by far of the 8 seasons at Shitedean, absolutely woeful

how , please explain have we had more success in the transfer window, we have sign half a dozen players no one else wants

goals / league position is entirely down to wilkins as he picks the team, fomrations, subs, team talk and motivation, money does not do that and falmer does not do that

the crowds under McGhee were much higher in the 3 home games than wilkins

but why had Mcghee lost the crowd, for some reason he was treated in the most despicable manner I have ever witnessed and the last laugh is on him as we are in a much much worse position now than we ever were when he was in charge

please try again

I again agree with that!

Cant believe anyone could come out and say the football wilkins is dishing up is good...its like the football we played during our gillingham days under Horton.

The sqaud is defo good enough to remain in this division...now sod all this wilkins is a niice guy and its the youth team and theres no1 better..if we go down or continue to play this poorly every week then wilkins has got to go...Its shit!

Did you go to the Blackpool game? McGhee had lost the plot and long before that (this is coming from someone who actually was sticking by him at the time, but you can see looking back it had to go), he never acknowledged the crowd which always grated me.

Difference of opinion I guess...can't be bother to argue all day over a sacked manager, he did well to get us promoted and then keep us in the Championship, but after that he lost it, listen to his interview after his last away game before he was sacked and you'll see he'd given up.

hang on Wilkins was in charge for the Blackpool game :D

he always used to acknowlege and applaude the fans but stopped at the end of last season and beginning of this season as the boo boys had started attacking him

of the 3 games we lost 2 we away to clubs now in the top 3

still rewrite history if you want

But you seem to want us to fail, as your hero has gone and so failure proves your point.

I passionately want us to succeed and am very frustrated at being 4 points off relegatin to division 4, I just do not believe wilkins is the man to do this and have been consistant from day 1 on this

Correct, with the players we have we should NOT be 4 points off relegation to div 4, that is entirely due to Wilkins

What’s done is done, Uncle S. Rather than unsettling our team further, why not give Deano the benefit of the doubt for the time being. He has made some new signings and they will take a while to slot in. We are only two points off Crewe(12th place), who have found themselves in a very similar situation to us. Down from the Championship and then struggling to adjust. Even if we do end up getting relegated, Wilkins has my support. We are learning gradually and we are becoming more difficult to beat. We just need to have some patience and ride through the storm.

Is Wilkins responsible for the late equaliser against Brentford or the slip by Henderson? We have a very young team and they are going to be inconsistent at times. These are the first two incidents that came into my head.

If it wasn’t for just those two moments of madness, we would be in 12th position, seven points clear of trouble.

But your criticism of Wilkins seems to have more to do with the fact that McGhee got the push, so surely that criticism should be aimed at the board, who ulitimately made that decision.

BoF is right, what is done is done, we can't go back. I still think there was more to MM leaving than we will ever know, and frankly I would rather not. I am sure that we were in an automatic promotion place when Coppell left, yet we still needed to rely on the play-offs to get promoted, or maybe my mind is playing tricks with me.

People who post on here can be remarkably fickle, what will the mood be like next Monday if we have earned a "surprise" win at Brentford on the weekend, it will probably be back to talk about the play-offs.

I agree partly.

I hope it does change and the new signings slot in nicely and we turn our form arouns and start scoring..I dont think it will though and we could go down..which will be Dean wilkins fault....Not 1% of believes we would have been anywhere near to relegation had mcghee been in charge.

So you wanted to get rid of a decent manager and replace him with one who could relegate us and you would still be happy with wilkins...

Its quite unbelievable!

Brentford game?.......wasnt that mcghee in charge, cos without that we would have gone to forest with 100% win record?

Exactly. Points were lost and it wasn't McGhee's or Wilkins' fault. It was due to lapses from our young side. If it wasn't for that game alone, we would be two points better off.

McGhee had lost the plot, open your eyes, he WAS a decent manager, we weren't top of the table when he left were we.

F*cking hell I pity any bird that leaves you.:D

Just looked at the fixtures/results thing on seagulls!

Mcghee really should have had 100% going into forest.

Forest - a game that we had easy control of for 54 ish minutes until Adam el abd decided to pull one of their players down in the box....then one bad result at home and an expected away defeat at as far as im concerend this years champions and he's gone...its quite remarkable!

How is that a poor start to the season? and the footie was ok.....better than what this clown in charge now is dishing up anyway!
