Squad rotation.
It's based on the premise that they're all happy being squad members. Caicedo was running on fumes at times last season, being able to replace him with Bissouma would mean we'd have got even more out of Caicedo when he played. And playing Bissouma there would mean the drop off would be negligible.
Then there's the fact that for some games you could play Caicedo AND Bissouma with Mac Allister in there as well. Holy Moly Batman!
Same with Trossard. Lets not pretend he was anything other than excellent up to the world cup. He can swap in and out with Mitoma. He can play as the 10, as a false nine and can even pop over to the right to give March a rest. A rest that would have stopped him getting injured, thus allowing him to play ALL season.
We didn't finish a million miles off the top four as it was. With those two (and White) I am confident we would have got the extra points over the course of the season needed to finish above Newcastle and possibly man utd too.
