If we finish lower than 6th this season should Adams be sacked?

Madness.

On that theory, any manager who finishes in a lower postion than the previous season should be sacked!

I cannot believe we are going over this again!

Wilkins would of been sacked regardless of league position, in many ways he wasn't the right manager. Now leave it.

Worthing
DW was sacked because the board didn't think his persona was a positive thing on the run-in to Falmer and the club wanted someone with pzazz who would get more attention and prestige with the media.

What about Liz Hurley then ?

Micky had to rebuild the team first time around for it to be successful and yet again we wont have instant success - we will have to wait.

Not comparable. When Micky took over first time we were utter shite - that's why he had to rebuild. The team he inherited this team didn't require any rebuilding, we finished SEVENTH last season!

Not at all. But if you sack a manager for finishing 7th then surely you demand that the guy taking over does better?! Its not rocket science.

However, as TLO says it would appear he was sacked for non-footballing reasons.

Can we stop harping on about the same thing time and time again. This is just another thread for the collection.

Adams needs time and I for one am glad he is back!

KEEP THE FAITH

Bollocks. In one word.

Wilkins team was changed all season so the one that finished wasn't the one that we had at Christmas for example.

7th yes, but many people moaned like bitches week in week out about the style of football.

Also, can we not wait until the last game of the season to see where we finish and GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND MANAGER now? Just an idea.

right of course there are a few other factors that may come into consideration - ie what other teams have done in terms of signing players, key injuries to our and other teams, strong teams coming into the division either from leagues above/below etc etc.
