Just to be controversial, IF the Albion ever disappeared my husband would revert to Sheff Wednesday and I would probably follow.

It could hardly be called glory seeking ???

Sussex, by the sea
Shoreham by the sea . . .. used to go to quite a few games in the dark ages when Gillingham wasnt possible

best song there is 'your going home in a Southlands hospital'

at the time they had J BYrne, George Parris amongst others playing, they where arguably better than Brighton !

£1.20 a pint at the side of the pitch too :drink: :clap2:

If the worst ever happened, I would follow the results of Burgess Hill Town as I do now.

I can't imagine ever getting as involved and emotional about them as I do the Albion, though.

You'd probably feel a little bit at home with the blue and white stripes.

So that's this Sunday. Yeah, I quite fancy that one.

If there had never been an Albion .....

Sad to say but probably Chelsea. They were my team before I moved to Sussex, so if there was no Albion I would have had no reason to switch.

If there HAD been an Albion.....

Then I'd still support them. If the club had gone bust we'd have re-formed it and I'd be supporting them at whatever level of the pyramid they were at.

Being a Surrey lad, I'd probably revert back to my first love, Crippled Alice FC. :p

Yorkie, are you sure hubby hasn't got a Wednesday shirt hidden under the bed along with his Chris Waddle scrapbook? If Wednesday return to where they belong in a few seasons it's gonna be hard keeping him true to the blue and white stripes (of the Albion that is!)

Another vote for Horsham, having grown up in Storrington it is pretty much the nearest half decent team in Sussex. I have followed their fortunes for years and in the days before the internet had match reports cut from the County Times and posted to me during previous times living overseas.

I have only been to a handful of their games but would always go and watch them play if I was visiting the olds and the Albion were either away or I couldn't get a ticket.

QPR & AFC Wimbledon. I live in Burgess Hill (now) but definitely wouldn't support them!

He does still have a Wednesday shirt and has vowed to burn it on 20th September. Not sure where to do it yet though, as he doesn't want to get arrested or thrown out of Withdean
