In all seriousness, what’s Palace’s justification for not abiding by the deadline, the deadline we and Forest met?
Forest didn't meet the deadline, which was the end of March. The transfer of Forest shares into a blind trust happened in late April (well after the end of March anyway - I can't be bothered to go and look it up again now).

However, for Forest and Olympiakos, it didn't ultimately matter as Forest's end-of-season collapse meant they missed out on the Champions League, which is where Olympiakos will be playing.

I assume Textor just thought Palace are so shit, there was zero chance of them qualifying for Europe, so no action was required.

I don’t want to get into Europe based on a technicality.

I don’t want palace to cry about not being able to play, I want them to cry about being knocked out at the first opportunity.
Exactly this.
We should've done the job earlier in the season.
Palace won the FACup and good luck to them, it'll be their own stupid fault for not having the foresight to get their house in order.

TB had the sense to step back from USG, when both them and the Albion conflicted in Europe.

Probably never expected to be in Europe - after all, they never are ?
So given how many of us feared the worst during their cup run, NSC had a higher opinion of Palace’s chances than their own owner?

Now that we are almost certain to replace Palace in the Conference League, what are the possibilities regarding how we might be seeded, who we are likely to play, dates, ticket allocations, etc? Also, when will our new Conference League shirts go on sale?
How many LPs for Tier 1 vs Haverfordwest County AFC away (capacity 2,100) ?

I guess Textor didn’t want to go down the blind trust route, as we was in the process of selling his shares (or buying more) - he would have had to put that process on hold for a year.
I guess it will come down to whether Palace can demonstrate that Textor didn’t have significant control.

Keeping them in the competition would set a terrible precedent

Well, Palace seemingly got into Europe on a technicality namely, no other club they played bothering to put up any opposition. A bit like Tottenham, they won a cup by being the least shite.

Fukk 'em.

I wonder if the Forest owner following the rules might be the factor that gets them kicked out. He has followed the rules, they haven't. Plus, if they get kicked out, Forest get EL rather than Conference. But of course, he is a bit of a pushover, not someone who would kick up a fuss at all....
I was wondering if that nice chap would make waves...

Textor holds all the cards now. No one really knows what’s been going on behind the scenes between him and the rest of their ownership. If it’s been as bad as some think then this is going to get very interesting.
