The thing is at Swansea he has played with a big man up front who wins the ball and lets Leon get on with what he does i.e. getting on the end of things and putting the ball in the net. Here McGhee decided he was a target man so why not lump the ball up to him. It clearly didn't work and we were/are a poor team because of it

Young players are complex characters nowadays. They may be athletes, but they also got MTV. They're more likely to get their attitude from rap videos and being on the list in West End nightclubs and having groupies and agents and all the rest of it than react positively to being - in their eyes - deeply disrespected and thrown off the team coach by a dour Scottish disciplinarian old enought to be their dad. Neither party's completely to blame. Doesn't make either party a bad person. Just two vastly different worlds colliding really.

From what I can tell he is actually putting in the effort to make runs in behind opposition defences, something he clearly wasn't doing here.

Wasn't much point making the runs when no one is playing the balls though. The way we played in 04/05 didn't suit him at all.

TBH I couldn't give a f*** if we played to his strenghts in 04/05 as we stayed up. I think we played more to is strengths this year and he still didn't do alot.

Except look back on form, back to the player he was, be our best player in the early part of the season and score enough goals in the first few months of the season to leave him our second top scorer for the whole season. Apart from that, no, not a lot.

He was not our best player in the first part of our season I think our best player was always McShane. I think we looked alot better as a team with GNW and CKR and had we had those two from the start we would have stayed up comfortably. I wish we hadn't played to his strengths because that was our downfall in the end.

He will have NOTCHED 13 since he left us.

In all that time we have only scored 12 in TOTAL including the own goal at QPR.

What a WISE decision that was Mr McGhee...
I am confused. I thought we were playing in the championship, where he nothced 9 in 68 games....

You say this every time, Richie, and it is getting very boring. There is no denying that Leon can score in League One, but he can't in the championship and he was well paid to do just that! Since leaving he has shown his true colours and he is the most immature 24 year old I have ever come across, and obviously an unsettling influence on our team!

Come off it, he'll have fallen out with the manager by then.

You are all SOOO right. It would have been DULL to have stayed up...

Shut up and suck my hairy balls. :shootself Knight has gone, get over it and get over yourself too.

I hope Knight requires a Police escort nest season. I will volunteer and tell him what a prick he is. I might even have to look the other way when someone decides to punch him in his pathetic little poisonous gob!
