and its a big IF...

Would the money we get for him go to McGhee, or would the Falmer inquiry swallow it all up?

What do you think, Dick Knight is already passing around the begging bowl to repay loans!

i would imagine a little would be spent on player budget but the rest would go into the falmer inquiry.

If they offer 200k he'll go. Which will be a shame but DK couldnt turn that money down. And I wouldnt blame him for doing it.

If the rumour is true of course.

If he has a value then he will be sold simple as that.

We have plenty more available from the youth squad it is no great issue just inevitable in the currrent climate.

Whether he goes on to better things at a Premiership club is another matter, perhaps a phone call to BZ would be prudent prior to actually leaving.

Would Everton really want a third left-back, particularly one untested at the top level - and scarcely tested in the Championship?

This smacks of a contract negotiation tactic to me.

If Harding doesnt go in January, he will go for free when his contract expires. ;)

If Harding goes then it is with my best wishes, you can't stop aplayer from following his career to the highest possible level. Whatever money we get for him will go into running the club, and that involves playing budget, Falmer enquiry, stadium admin and so on.

We have a small glut of defenders, so him goig will not be the end of the world, just a testament to the abilities of the clubs youth policy and the commitment of the youth players to do their very best, what more of an example to all the kids in the youth set up could he set?

Cant see why Everton want him to be honest, he has'nt exactly set the Championship alight has he! Looked dodgy against QPR for starters.
I reckon its just an Agent thing to get more money out of BHA than he's worth.

I don't think he can. I'm pretty sure we're due a fee up to the age of 24 (23?). How old is he?

Your right, but this is decided by a tribunial (sp) and you don't usually get much then.

No, not initially, but we would be likely to get favourable signing on clauses.
